I play Guild Wars too and it's a fun game. I tend to group more in games like City of Heroes and Everquest 2 where there's more people I know but Guild Wars is still a fun game. I've managed to pick up all the version of it so far.

Yes, that's one of the great things about the game. No monthly fee, so you don't feel obligated to play.

So, there's no excuse for delayed comics.

Hahaha. Well, one of the nice things about the game is that, seeing as there's no monthly fee, the only thing that compels you to play is your desire to play, so it should be too much of a time sap.

Awesome, thanks for the opinions guys. I'll probably end up getting it. Just what I need, ANOTHER thing to delay the comic.

Guild wars is a great game. I've been playing it on and off since the first one came out, and its still enjoyable. It does kind of bother me that the level cap is 20, but they say that they're going to raise it when guild wars 2 comes out.
I definitely always liked how it can be both single and multiplayer. I tend to play it mostly by myself if im just dicking around and leveling, but for major missions, i tend to get into a party. There's a good amount more strategy than in WoW, mainly because instead of the access to every single ability you have in WoW, you can only use up to eight.
In PVP, its also nice, because, seeing as how the game is structured with the classes and sub-class, there isn't really any combination that will destroy everything; every combo has a weakness to something.
All in all, it's a great game. Definitely recommended

I think it's great, but you'd have to play it to make that decision yourself. It's a very big step up from WoW graphically, but they're two entirely different games. I don't understand why they're compared so often. The game is more about going through the story line than leveling, your character will only reach level 20. The only grind you'll encounter is with some titles, which are just character achievements. You won't be able to solo in this game, unless you're farming. You'll always have to be in a party, but it doesn't have to be with people. The game provides AI controlled characters you can add to your party called henchmen, so you're playing alone but with help from the game. In the Nightfall and Eye of the North campaigns you get heroes, which are the same idea as henchmen but you can customize their builds, armor and weapons.

That's a few basics. I think it's a great game, and at least worth a try. If you have any other questions I'd be happy to answer them.

I dunno, is it good for starters? I mean, I could never get into WoW, but this one looks graphically better and a better single-player experience.
