When I saw this article on OMG Blog then followed the links, I was pretty shocked. I think people who say shit like this under-estimate how many people they might offend. But then again, I under-estimated how many people would vote for McCain, so it goes both ways, I suppose.
But I’m a total sucker for this kind of stuff — I try to buy from companies that try to do a little good, and when I hear about shit like this, there’s no way I’m buying a RockStar product. I don’t shop at Urban Outfitters either. And yeah, I’m that guy that will guilt trip you anytime I see you doing it. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but corporations have a lot of power around here, and it’s probably a good idea to not support the ones that are hoping you “get AIDS and die”. One good way to find corporations that support us is to find the ones that they hate.
As always, shopping local is your best bet.

BuyBlue.org is (used to be?) a great site that tracked the political donations of major companies in the US. I haven’t been in a while and when I just visited, the site was down so who knows if they’re still active.
