There's a handful of clubs/bars, certainly enough for the population, but there's not a gay district or anything like Seattle or San Francisco has. Still, a really forward thinking city, and in fact, there was a small scandal recently with a political figure (the mayor, I think) sleeping with a much younger guy (Beau Breedlove, no joke). The scandal wasn't that he was gay (he's quite out) but that he lied about his relationship with the guy. Portland rocks, in short. As far as I’ve scene they don’t have a substantial gay “scene”.
