NSFWeekend: reader appreciation porn

You know what a great way to master some essential figure drawing skills is? Drawing sex. There’s crazy poses, fore-shortening, muscle definition, everything that’s complicated in the human form. And it’s fun to draw! So I’ve been sketching all sorts of butt sex this weekend, and I’m passing it on to you, the reader, as some sort of “thank you.”

I’m considering taking a page from Khaos’ comic book (see link to the right) and creating exclusive XXX desktop images for sale. They’d be pretty high quality, detailed pieces, so hopefully they’d be worth a buck or two. Check out the image after the jump and tell me, is that something you’d like to see more of? (NSFW)

Sorry about the lack of comics this week. I’ve got a lot of time this weekend to pump some scripts out — always the hardest part for me. But I have been doodling here and there, and here’s a little something for ya to pass the time. This is more or less what Power Bottom’s “Force-kin” turned into: a more laid back, punk-alternative type. This is him enjoying pizza. That’s all I got.

So for a comic that’s mostly about butt sex, there isn’t a whole lot of butt sex in Capitol Hillbillies. That’s always been a bit challenging — keeping it graphic without making it a porn site. That’s not to say that I don’t enjoy drawing such things; in fact, I’d like to do it more. Enter my side project known as Power Bottoms. Now, gay sex super hero comics (not to be confused with comics depicting regular superheros having gay sex, like SpiderMan, Batman, Hulk [ouch]) are nothing new, so I’m not trying to break new ground here. But whatever it is, there’s a certain charm and fun in drawing super heros having super sex. Below are two of the three main characters “Polar Bear” and “ForceKin” (NSFWish. Cartoon wang) Details to come!

So, I had an incredible time at Emerald City Comic Convention this weekend — the entire thing was like a creative handjob. Seeing all the talented artists, publishers, etc. was just stupefying. It was also a real treat actually meeting some people who have read the comic — people I’ve never met before. Usually, there’s some sort of interaction with a person that leads me bribing them to check the site out, then they might get back to me with a “hey, that’s not bad” or “wow, you’re a creepy sex addict” and we go from there. But to have people who, one way or another, found the comic on their own and are now finding me was, well, surreal. BIG thanks to anyone who came by the booth to chat, or even buy something.

The booth I was hanging out at was Prism Comics, which I know I’ve gone on and on about before — once again they’ve got my back, and it is now the home of Capitol Hillbillies merch. Here you can get the “Lady Bits” shirt and the new “Safe Word” shirt, both for only $10! Make sure to include the size you want in the “Special Instuctions” section. I’ll still be taking care of prints.

Lefts my WACOM board at home, so comic will be delayed till tonight or tomorrow morn. Sorry!

I’m sure most of you have seen the link to the right under “awesome web comics” called Abel Boddy. It’s quite a classic within the “gay webcomic” scene. However, digging a little deeper, on THAT blogroll, you can find a link to C. Edward’s other webcomic “MeatCute” (”MEATCUTE”? “Meatcute”? Whatever.) Here you’ll find a ton of simple, three panel strips with lots of raunchy, raunchy gay sex. The current series ‘ 12″ Roommate ‘ is basically just a series of shoving giant cartoon wang into little cartoon butts. Win-win, right? On top of that (pun not intended) you also get to see a lot of personal sketches and rough drawings which is a whole other layer of porn for an artist like me.

So, Tegan and Sara. They’re, you know, cool, I guess.

Ok, I went to The Evergreen College in Olympia WA, and if I was to say, out loud, that I didn’t really get Tegan and Sara I would have probably be bludgeoned to death by dildos from a collection of very angry lesbians within earshot. I mean, these two are practically demi-gods within the community. It must be the funky hair and colored American Apparel denim or something. I just don’t see it.

Hold on, my Lady Gaga playlist just ended….

Anyway, reader CJ sent this video in, and I must say I like the song a lot and the video is…well, it’s Tegan and Sara. And I’m getting post-traumatic about college.
